TORY leader Cllr Colin Rigby has vowed to fight for better roads and to tackle traffic problems, after being reselected in the North Turton with Tockholes ward.
Cllr Rigby said residents in the ward were becoming increasingly concerned at the high level of traffic using minor roads in the rural area to access local motorways. He and his wife Jean were both re-elected in the ward at the Blackburn and Darwen Council election.
Cllr Rigby, who heads the Conservative group on the council, said: "We also want to see improvements in local services, such as grass cutting, and more leisure amenities made available to people."
