SHREWSBURY Town manager Jimmy Quinn has confirmed his interest in signing Leigh RMI striker David McNiven.
But Quinn added that he may have to offload a couple of players to bring in the striker, who was RMI's leading scorer last season.
"At the end of the day it's down to money," said Quinn.
"He's a player I had at Northwich and he is out of contract so he's one I'm interested in."
"But we've got four strikers at the moment all under contract so it's going to be a case of what we can afford."
"I'll probably speak to David again in the next few weeks and see exactly what he's after and then take it from there.
"It might be a case of us having to move a couple of players out before we can seriously consider bringing any more lads in."
