A REAL human with compassion and flexibility -- those were my thoughts when reading M J Symonds' letter, June 18 -- "Humans make more mess than animals".
It is our duty to clean up after our pets and leave the parks safe for others.
Our responsibility does not end there. We will not progress as a healthy society unless we humans take responsibility for ourselves too.
Beer cans, gum, sweet papers, glass, and worse, are daily dropped on our town. Animals were here before us and manage to co-exist with us -- despite the pain and suffering they are often given.
The sentences dished out for animal cruelty are pitiful. So, go for a walk around the Jumbles and the lodges, enjoy our beautiful countryside, and stop moaning.
It's a beautiful world --- despite all the moaners.
