POLICE are warning people who have used a bank cash machine in Bowness-on-Windermere to check all their transactions after a sophisticated cash machine scam was uncovered.
A member of the public contacted the police on Saturday after spotting a suspicious device attached to a Natwest cash machine on Bank Terrace.
When the device was examined, police discovered that it could be used to record bank details and PIN numbers.
The device may have been in place for some time.
