TWO Bolton men were among seven people who appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with conspiracy to launder the proceeds of drug trafficking and other criminal conduct.

They were all sent on bail to Preston Crown Court.

A seventh man, Ayub Khansia, aged 46, of Tintern Crescent, Blackburn, who faces the same charge but did not appear in court, had his case adjourned until July 2.

The six who were sent to the Crown Court were Yusuf Khansia, aged 76, of Shear Bank Road, Blackburn, Mohammed Akuji, aged 42, of St Helens Road, Bolton, Imran Khansia, aged 23, of Apple Close, Blackburn, Abdurrazaq Munshi, aged 50, of Lostock Junction Lane, Bolton, Salim Holden, aged 25, and Anisa Khansia, aged 22, both of Lowood Place, Blackburn. Holden also faces a charge of possessing an offensive weapon, a stun-gun.

The charges arise out of a police raid in January when heroin with a street value of £1.2 million was seized from a house in Swallow Drive, Blackburn.

Following the raid Ayub Khansia and Sirz Valli, aged 30, were charged with possession with intent to supply.
