CHURCHGOERS came out in full bloom to raise money to repair their ageing tower.
Members of Bolton Floral Arts group decked St Stephen's Church out in a rainbow of colours for the three-day festival.
The church tower, which dates back to 1871, has cracks in the stone and needs re-pointing and a metal brace fitting around the outside.
Church-goers sponsored their favourite hymns to be sung during the services. One parishioner who attended, Elsie Longshaw, dedicated her display to grandson James Todd who died in 2003.
Joan Johnson, chairman of Bolton Floral Arts group, said: "It was a privelege to take part. The church looked really beautiful."
Last year, the church spent £30,000 on roof repairs and parishioners decided to re-decorate for the first time in 40 years.
