FANS of Bolton's folk-pop hero Badly Drawn Boy are eagerly awaiting the release of his fourth full-length album One plus One is One on Monday.
The woolly-hat clad and often eccentric Damon Gough, originally from Breightmet, has crafted a return-to-roots LP, which is set to please his loyal fan base and no doubt secure him some new fans.
The album has already received rave reviews, with critics hailing Gough as "Britain's best songwriter," and describing the album as "a superb comeback" for the former Thornleigh pupil.
Tracks on the release see Gough questioning his rise to fame, with uncompromising and unpretentious honesty.
He told NME during recording sessions for the LP that it would be "darker" than his previous three.
Shunning his previous recording location of Los Angeles in favour of Stockport, the album features Twisted Nerve label boss Andy Votel at the production helm.
