BUSBY'S Babes had Nobby Stiles at number six -- now Bolton's youngsters have Nobby number two.

The United wing-half's son is a chemistry and biology teacher at Withins School in Breightmet.

And, as a big Red like his dad, Peter Stiles tries to teach his pupils about Old Trafford's football science too.

But his sporting litmus test has so far failed to turn his students red -- because they are all followers of Bolton Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce's Reebok soccer school.

Peter, who was born and bred in Manchester, said: "I've tried my best but my pupils are never going to become United fans. It's the one lesson where they refuse to pay attention.

"They keep telling me how good Bolton are and they always take the micky out of me when United get beaten."

The Withins pupils were not even born when Nobby Stiles did his victory jig after England's legendary World Cup win in 1966.

But Peter, who was born that year, hopes to do his own victory dance after United's match against Wanderers tomorrow night.

"My dad will be a Manchester United supporter until the day he dies and I'm a big fan too, although I don't get to see many of the games these days because of work," the 35-year-old father-of-one said.

"I'll definitely be watching on Tuesday though and I'm sure my pupils will be watching as well. It'll be a close game. Bolton have got some decent players -- they could turn us over like they did at Old Trafford.

"But I hope Wanderers don't win," he added. "They are a good side, but I'll get far too much stick in class on Wednesday if they beat United."
