BOLTON Hospice is changing its phone numbers this week to keep pace with its growing services to patients.
From Friday, all its numbers will be altered, and there will be double the number of lines available.
Chief executive Margaret Evans explained: "We are aware that, at busy times, people have difficulty in getting through to us because all the lines are engaged.
"The staff are also frustrated because they cannot get a line out to make their calls. And it is vital that we can contact patients and carers, and that they can contact us, without unnecessary delay."
There will also be a direct dialling facilitiy in the hospice for staff to reduce traffic through the switchboard and allow speedier responses.
The new numbers are:
Main Hospice - 01204-663066, fax - 663060.
Fundraising - 01204-663055, fax 663050.
Lottery - 01204-66307.
