TWO branches of a local veterinary surgery are offering free dental check ups for cats and dogs as part of Pet Smile Month.
Pike Moor Vets, which has practices in Westhoughton and Horwich, will provide help and advice on how to prevent oral disease.
They will also be giving away free Pet Smile packs to help people take care of their pets' teeth.
Poor dental hygiene in cats and dogs can lead to kidney and heart disease. Around 80 per cent of pets in the UK over the age of three are known to be suffering from poor dental hygiene.
To claim a free dental check up simply call the surgery, on Chorley Road, Westhoughton, on 01942 818845 between 8.30am and 6pm or the Horwich branch, on Chorley New Road, on 01204 694004 between 8.30am and 6.30pm.
