BLACKPOOL Pleasure Beach bosses have something to smile about following the fire which swept through one of the theme park's most famous rides.
It was feared the the three-carriage train which had just last month been dedicated to Rollercoaster Club of Great Britain Chairman, Andy Hine MBE to mark his inclusion in the Queen's Birthday Honours List, had perished in the blaze of the Grand National station.
But one carriage bearing Mr Hine's plaque was undamaged.
Operations Manager Keith Allen said: "It's amazing. The other train in the station was totally demolished by fire, as were the two back carriages of Andy's train, but the front train is absolutely perfect. It's a wonderful discovery."
