PUPILS at a Bolton secondary school have taken time out from lessons for a watery challenge.
More than 30 pupils at Smithills School took part in the Swim A Mile event, to raise money for the Variety Club of Great Britain. Three teachers joined the pupils at the pool, based at the school, to raise more than £300, which will help disadvantaged children.
They all had to swim 75 lengths of the pool that day.
