RADIO presenter Victoria Derbyshire is set to return to the airwaves at the end of the month.

The former BBC Radio Five Live breakfast show co-presenter from Bolton took time out to have a baby son.

She will return to the station to host two phone-in shows on sport and current affairs.

Derbyshire will front sports show Rumour Mill on Saturdays, between 11am and noon, from May 29 and July 31.

From August 2, she will host her own morning weekday, current affairs phone-in from 9am to noon, taking over from Julian Worricker who will now present the Sunday-morning show.

Derbyshire said: "I'm looking forward to starting the phone-in from August.

"The people who listen to this show make it the best phone-in programme on British radio, with some of the most priceless moments I've ever heard on the airwaves."

Victoria, originally from Ramsbottom, regularly comes back to Turton where her mum, Pauline, lives.

She also enjoys watching Bolton Wanderers and if she can't get to the Reebok will try to catch a game down in London, where she is based.
