ON my visits to the centre of Bolton over the last few months, I have been struck by the young ill mannered, disrespectful yobs, who congregate on Victoria Square on Saturday afternoons.
It was confirmed today, just how right I was.
I was purchasing some bread from the young French woman at the French market on the Town Hall Square, when she was confronted by a gang of despicable youths, aged from about 10 to 16.
They were jeering at her, and ridiculing her.
They circled some young French boys who were carrying the French Flag. The French men on the biscuit stall and sweet stall, looked very concerned.
The Police Station is only yards away from Victoria Square, but there was not one officer to be seen.
It seems to me, that we should be hounding all louts, not just litter louts, to give this town some of the dignity it had in the past.
Bolton a city -- ha!
It should be renamed Dog City, or Commonville.
Disgusted and Furious.
