WOLVES have gone on the defensive after it was confirmed that Wanderers had made an inquiry for striker Henri Camara.
Although still doggedly denying that the wantaway Senegal striker is for sale, Molineux bosses have now confirmed receiving an approach from the Reebok.
Responding to revelations by the player's agent, Willie McKay, that Sam Allardyce had actually made an offer, Wolves chief executive, Jez Moxey, said: "We had an enquiry from the Bolton secretary last week, asking what our plans for Henri were.
"He did not make an offer."
Wolves have turned down a transfer request from Henri, who is still under contract, and have been bullish about their prospects of keeping him at Molineux. But, with Blackburn, Middlesbrough and now Wanderers interested, it seems only a matter of time before they start to consider offers.
"We've not put a valuation on Henri because he's not for sale," Moxey added. "We have not received any offers and are not interested in receiving any."
