MANCHESTER Dogs Home is full to capacity following the recent bank holidays.
It is traditionally a busy time for the charity because many uncaring owners take advantage of the public holidays and go away, abandoning the pets.
Although it has happened in the past, staff at the home were shocked by the number of dogs admitted this month. They are now looking for homes for more than 200 dogs presently on Rehoming Row, and are appealing for members of the public to come and visit the kennels.
All the animals have been vaccinated and microchipped and there is no admittance charge to the home.
The Manchester Dogs Home collects from a 50 mile radius and anyone who has lost a dog is asked to come along and have a look.
The home is open seven days a week and is situated at Crofter's House, Moss brook Road, off Church Lane, Harpuhey, Manchester, M9 5PG.
