TWO masked men armed with a machete broke into a young couple's home and threatened them in the middle of the night.
The 26-year-old woman was woken by banging on the front door of her Lancaster Avenue home, in Tyldesley, at about 3am on Saturday.
When her partner went to investigate he saw a man coming out of a bedroom holding a machete.
The men, who are said to have local accents, demanded cash before running off down Lancaster Avenue.
One of them was wearing a grey fleece top and bottoms, and is about 6ft 2ins tall and slim. The other was wearing a black hooded top and bottoms, around 5ft 9ins tall and slim.
A third man was seen waiting outside the house during the burglary. He is described as 5ft 2ins tall, slim and was wearing a dark top with the hood pulled up.
