LANCASHIRE Road Club cyclists took advantage of the current good weather conditions to post some good times over the past week.

Several of the clubs vets took part in a 10 mile event at Garstang where once again Frank Kerry shone by winning the 60/70 age group and finished second overall on standard in a time of 23-47.

The club's representatives were faced with a strong westerly wind over the 10 mile course on the Rainford bypass, but still managed to produce some good times. Glen Kenyon was the fastest in a time of 23-17 with Mike Smith 24-03 and Stan Simister 28-17 being the clubs other riders.
