HULTON Lane A reached the Josey A White Trophy final after a thrilling 6-4 extra-time victory over Astley Miners.
Gaz Cunniff scored a hat-trick, including two early goals which put Hulton Lane 2-0 up and seemingly in control.
But Whittle's penalty gave Miners hope just before the break, and Neil Critchley scored twice in the second half to put them in front.
Holroyd equalised for Lane, and then Cover put them 4-3 up, but an 89th-minute leveller from Dave Fashou for Miners took the game into extra time.
A second goal for Holroyd made it 5-4, before Cunniff's hat-trick goal took Lane through to the final.
Hulton Lane's B team were unable to join them, though, losing 3-1 to the White Horse.
