WANDERERS

4-3-3

JUSSI JAASKELAINEN ... 6

His 200th league start proved one of the easiest games of his career; hardly had a thing to do.

NICKY HUNT ... 7

Got through a lot of work, defensively and going forward; how the lad has matured in his first season.

EMERSON THOME ... 8

Escaped one first-half slip, which seems to be the norm those days; otherwise outstanding.

BRUNO N'GOTTY ... 8

Neither Kanoute nor Defoe had a look in all afternoon; full credit to big Bruno.

SIMON CHARLTON ... 8

Back in the old routine after his injury scares; Simon Davies had no joy on the Spurs right.

JAY-JAY OKOCHA ... 7

Still waiting for that elusive goal after Keller kept out his free kick; showed great spirit and endeavour nevertheless.

IVAN CAMPO ... 9

Another big performance and an important early goal from the "enforcer", who bossed the midfield.

KEVIN NOLAN ... 7

Great energy and great effort as one of the unsung heroes of the midfield battle, which Wanderers won hands down.

YOURI DJORKAEFF ... 7

No luck in front of goal but made a big contribution; bags of energy with a sprinkling of those silky skills.

KEVIN DAVIES ... 9

Epitomised what Wanderers were about -- strong, determined and committed; twice close to crowning a magnificent performance with a goal.

HENRIK PEDERSEN ... 8

A bit more self-belief first half and he could have had a couple but was finally rewarded for his hard work and determination.

Subs: Anthony Barness for Hunt 76 mins, Per Frandsen for Okocha 85 mins, Stelios for Djorkaeff 86 mins. Not used: Javi Moreno, Kevin Poole.

Man of the Match

KEVIN DAVIES

IT took a lot to eclipse Campo in the honours race but Davies epitomised what Wanderers were all about with his commitment, his ferocity and his energy. All he was missing was a goal -- and he came close twice.

Magic Moment

HE got the benefit of a lucky break when Gardner lost control but Pedersen got his reward for hounding the Spurs defender, finishing clinically and fully deserving his fourth Premiership goal in five games.

Moan of the Match

MAURICIO Taricco put some much-needed bite into the Spurs performance when he replaced Poyet at half time but he went too far when he appeared to feign injury after a coming together with Djorkaeff.
