Eagley 0 Charnock Richard 1: EAGLEY failed in their attempt to reach their second consecutive Richardson Cup Final.
Both sides struggled to play fluent football in a match spoiled by a strong wind.
With the wind at their backs, the Villagers had the best of the first half, and could have taken the lead on a couple of occasions.
With Charnock having advantage of the wind in the second half, Eagley expected to be on the defence, but surprisingly they yet again created the better chances.
The deadlock was broken on 60 minutes, when Charnock Richard's Chadwick fired in a cross-shot from the left and it went into the top corner wind assisted, giving Mark Warren in the Villagers goal no chance.
Although Eagley went close again, with Carl Grimshaw hitting the crossbar, it was not to be their day.
