BOLTON Mets ARLFC were unlucky to lose their last game of the season 12-4 to North West Counties League Division Five champions Wigan Keepers.

The home side, with the gale force wind at their backs, could only manage a one-try lead at the break.

However, in the second half the Mets failed to make the most of the elements and could only manage one try by prop Colin Crompton in reply to the Keepers' second score.

In the final minutes, the Mets went close with efforts from hooker Neil Walsh and loose forward Ryan Terry, but time ran out.
