After the First World War, some tanks were put into Queen's Park, Bolton, presumably for show and to persuade people that such weapons should never be used again (if that was the case, it didn't work!).
In November, 1931, though, the rusted war relics were cut up by an acetylene burner prior to their removal as scrap iron. Dismantled guns can be seen in the foreground
