I HAVE read, with interest, the issues surrounding the conversion of a £425,000 detached house in Pocket Nook Road, Lostock.
I understand and sympathise with the residents for not having been consulted about the project.
However, the issue that has arisen for me is the fact that the Boys and Girls Welfare Society, as a charitable organisation, has spent an awful lot of money buying a detached house in an expensive area of Bolton.
Taking into consideration the costs of the renovation, surely a similar property or even a larger property could have been found for a lot less money?
