BOLTON businesses working with solar energy could be in for a windfall.
Housing, educational and commercial solar projects are among those set to benefit from £5 million new Government funding for medium to large-scale solar electric power installations. Almost £11 million in grants have already been awarded to 94 different projects throughout the country.
Energy Minister Stephen Timms said: "We've already seen, thanks to the grant programme, the installers of solar power treble and significant investments made in manufacturing.
"This £5 million will ensure the growth of the industry in the UK and is a further demonstration of our commitment to renewable energy."
