ON behalf of the Thursday Social Club at St Edmund's, I write to nominate Joan Foster of Jubilee House as our "Star of the Month".
Although Joan struggles with health problems, she has been tireless in her efforts to help us.
Being excellent at needlework, she has bought and dressed dolls and teddies for us to raffle and, when unable to sew, she has donated little bought gifts. People love her work and are always eager to win "Joan's" prize.
She has also on occasions attended the club to read one of her poems. A talented and generous lady, she has our deep admiration and appreciation.
We know she supports other causes too, so we are sure there are many people who have reason to thank Joan.
