MIDFIELDER Steve Gunby has left Bury after asking for his contract to be terminated.
The 19-year-old, who joined the Shakers' youth system in 2000, has now become a free agent.
Gunby, who was born in Lincoln, made his first-team debut in May 2002 at Peterborough. He did not make the first team at all during 2002/2003, but had made one start and five substitute appearances for the Shakers this season.
