DINERS at a Bolton restaurant were treated to a taste of the Orient to welcome in the Chinese New Year.
The Chinese Delight, in Bury New Road, Breightmet, put on a traditional display to mark the start of the Year of the Monkey.
Visitors were entertained by a colourful and energetic performance of a dragon dance, both inside and outside the restaurant, along with a display of Chinese martial arts.
Kung-fu experts showed their skills by breaking slabs of rock with their bare hands, while a traditional fire cracker display made sure the proceedings went with a bang.
Diners got into the flavour of the occasion by tucking into a customary Chinese banquet menu.
