POLICE in Rivington are appealing for information after a man posing as a park ranger was seen cutting down and burning trees.
The man is described as white, 5ft 10in tall, thick set and tanned with dark hair that is going grey tied up in a ponytail.
He was clean shaven and wearing black boots, combat style trousers and an olive green shirt with a badge. Anyone with information should contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
