WARBURTONS bread vans delivering bread to commercial customers are having their routes modified to enable them to drop off loaves to Bolton schools.
Withins School has become the latest in a series to benefit by having free fresh bread delivered for its breakfast club.
Such clubs encourage children to arrive at school early and tuck into a healthy breakfast before their day's lessons begin.
A spokeswoman for the bakers said: "It's an increasingly popular initiative because more and more children are going to breakfast clubs and having a meal can really set them up for the day.
"We asked Withins if they would like to participate in the scheme and they were keen on the idea. We now deliver up to 60 loaves a week."
