WHAT a mess the Government has got itself into over asylum seekers.
Surely the "Powers of Europe" should get their heads round a table and decide the same level of benefits for all, whatever country they come to. What did we elect them for? An economic refugee doesn't come to Britain for Beautiful Britain, but for beautiful benefits. Surely a simple way to save a lot of bother and money and lawyers' fees would be to make our benefits the same as France, which are frugal.
