HORWICH Cycling Club riders Adam Wood and Rick Sale competed in the tough 150-mile three-day International Junior Tour of Wales at Nantyglo.
Both overcame mechanical problems to finish in 49th and 50th place.
In the four-stage North West road race, Roy Francis was best placed in 12th with Vinny Smith 14th. Andy French, Tim Woods and Denis Keaskin all finished in the top 40.
In the final event of the North West Youth Open League, held at Queens Park, Clare Gore came finished winner in her age group with Sophie Gore second, Matt Jones second in his section and Andrew Davies ninth.
The cyclo cross season has now started and, in the Rugby Floodlit Evening Series, Mark Leyland showed form to take third place.
