BADLY Drawn Boy's trademark unkempt look almost left him out in the cold in London this week.
The indie-folk singer, real name Damon Gough, was initially turned away from the bar at a plush London hotel because doormen did not believe he was staying there.
Damon, who spent most of his childhood living in Breightmet, was blocked by doormen.
The 33-year-old former Mercury Music Prize Winner eventually managed to get into the bar area, only to be quizzed by staff about his stay at the hotel.
Damon, who lives in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester, with his girlfriend Claire, recently picked up the Best Solo Artist award at this year's GQ magazine's Men of The Year awards.
