CHILDREN have the chance to be the voice of the speaking clock to raise funds for the ChildLine charity for children at risk.

BT wants youngsters aged 16 and under to record their version of the 123 message by calling 0901 8888 999 until Monday, September 22.

The winner will be invited to a recording studio and their voice will be played on 123 to mark the first "Big Listen", a campaign dedicated to listening to young people and raising money for ChildLine.

Established in 1936, the Speaking Clock has only ever had three voices until this year, when Lenny Henry spent a two-week stint as the Clock.
