BUSINESS leaders have been given lessons in how to stop foreign companies -- particularly in the Far East -- from copying their products.
Business Link North Manchester hosted a seminar advising businessmen after complaints that companies exporting to China had electronics, automotive and aerospace spare-parts, textiles and pharmaceuticals copied.
Philomena Chen, Asia Pacific manager at Business Link North Manchester, said: "Many companies who are considering or who are already exporting to China have a fear that their products will be copied."
According to reports, foreign and Chinese companies lose tens of billions of pounds each year to counterfeiting activities in China.
