MEMBERS of the David Lloyd Leisure sports club in Bolton will be pulling in the pounds for the AXA PPP Healthcare and Sir Steve Redgrave Charity Row challenge.

The challenge will encourage members to keep fit while raising money for the charity which helps children and young people.

All club members have the chance to form a team and qualify for a special race during the British Indoor Rowing Championships at Birmingham's National Indoor Arena on November 15.

Olympic and world rowing champion James Cracknell has promised to visit personally the highest fund-raising club in the country.

The David Lloyd leisure club will hold its own team finals and the 15 fastest teams from across the country will be invited to take challenge Sir Steve at the national final.

Sir Steve said: "This is a great oppurtunity for people to motivate themselves into committing to fitness while also raising money for charity".

The Sir Steve Redgrave Charitable Trust was set up in 2001 to provide funding for individuals and small charities with a particular focus on improving oppurtunities for children and young people in their communities.
