WOMEN from around the Bolton area were bowled over at a special charity night at Middlebrook this week.
The women-only event at Hollywood Bowl gave the girls the run of the bowling lanes.
And the evening also included hand massages and make-up advice from representatives of beauty brand Virgin Vie.
The night was planned to coincide with the national launch of the film "Calendar Girls", which centres on the famous nude calendar made by members of the Rylstone Women's Institute in North Yorkshire.
The film, starring Julie Walters and Helen Mirren, is showing at the nearby Warner Village Cinemas from today.
Money raised during the Hollywood Bowl event went to the regional charity which buys children's equipment for local hospitals, the Children's Hospitals Appeal (CHAT).
