SWIMMERS from Bolton have raised more than £3,800 by taking part in the Butlins National Swimathon.
Fund-raisers took to the water at Horwich Leisure Centre and the Esporta health and fitness club.
Together, the swimmers raised £3,838 for the Macmillan Cancer Relief and the Swimathon Foundation.
More than 21,000 swimmers dived into 570 pools across the country to contribute to a grand total of £1.9 million.
Duncan Goodhew MBE, the president of Butlins Swimathon, said: "Congratulations to everyone who took part this year and helped us reach the third highest total in our 18-year history."
Following the success of this year's event we will be looking to make next year even bigger and better."
