A WOMAN will have to be rehomed after a fire swept through the block of flats where she lived, destroying the upper floors.
Firefighters spent nearly four hours controlling the blaze which started in a derelict first floor council flat on Meadowside Grove in Walkden at 12.40am today.
The fire destroyed the first floor flat and spread to the other three flats in the block.
Sub officer at Farnworth station, Iain Ronaldson, said: "We went to the same flats last week, but this time it was much worse.
The cause of the blaze is being treated as malicious.
