WHAT is Cllr L Williamson talking about when he says there has never before been so much resources dedicated to young people?
He talks of festivals and positive activities. I admit we have leisure centres, but I think he is missing my point. There should be more places open for families, with one bus for us all, like a cinema, ice skating rink and a bowling alley.
Yes, people enjoy these festivals, Bolton show etc, but these don't go on every day throughout the year. It's all right saying come to these activities, but I never mentioned anything about festivals and activities. I mentioned, like a few other people who have written in, that more complexes should open in Bolton.
He doesn't make any comment on all the bars which are continually opening, attracting more young people to drink. I wonder why. Money?
I agree with the letter from Tuesday, August 12. Yes, we are turning into the Drunken Centre of the North!
