ANDREA EATOCK, aged 26, of Elmwood Grove, Chorley New Road, said: "Everybody always smiles and are polite. It's a very nice place to live."
CATHERINE RANDALL, of School Hill, Bolton, said: "Its true they are friendly. I've lived here since 1930 and I wouldn't live anywhere else."
ARTHUR KAY, aged 84, of Cressingham Road, Deane, said: "I've been here for 84 years and of course they are friendly. It's a lovely place to live."
DEREK SHANLEY, aged 45, a Bolton resident, said: "I just think Bolton people are down to earth and friendly in general. It's a mixed community and we all get on."
NORMA RAMM, aged 71, of Mobberley Road, Breightmet, said: "I think Boltonians well known for their friendliness. If you're civil to Bolton people, they are civil to you."
It's very rare for people to say anything bad about them.
