ONE of the UK's leading British Asian dance academies will be headlining the music stage at this year's Bolton Show.

Honey's Dance Academy will bring a touch of Bollywood to the two-day event, taking place in Leverhulme Park on Saturday and Sunday, August 16 and 17.

Honey Kalaria has been described as Britain's top modern Indian dance expert and has dedicated herself to perfecting many dance styles, including Indian classical dance, rock 'n' roll and belly dancing.

Her choreography and students have appeared in many blockbuster films and videos and she has also released a successful album and workout video.

On Sunday, one of her lively dance troupes will perform on the Bolton Show music stage.

Also taking to the stage at this year's event will be musical and dance entertainment from Slightly Alien, Rum Bar Masses, Simply Soul and Boogie Fever.

Councillor Donald Grime, Bolton Council's executive member for direct services, said: "The music stage is always a hive of activity at the Bolton Show and this year is no exception.

"It will provide a fabulous way for the whole family to enjoy a relaxing weekend listening to live acts. Let's hope the sunshine continues and brings out the crowds once again."

Bolton Show is the biggest free show in the North-west, with 70,000 attending last year's event.

As well as the music at the show this year, there will also be a spectacular pyro-circus spectacle, called Ignite. There will be giant fireballs and trails of fire as performers swing fireclubs in an energetic and dramatic display at 9.30pm on Saturday.
