A GROUP of travellers set up a base today on the grounds of a Westhoughton factory.
Police said four caravans and associated vehicles had moved onto the grounds of Pinnacle Storage in Metal Box Way -- near to the disused Carnauld Metal Box Factory -- at around 5pm last night.
The travellers are thought to have moved from a site in Lostock Way where they have been based since last Friday.
A police spokesman said officers were called to the site then liaised with Bolton Council. The spokesman added: "It is a matter for the council as so far no crimes have been reported. It has been calm."
