MANY of you will know Daffodil Hill on Chorley Old Road, Horwich (although I must say, I don't think that it is nowadays as colourful as it used to be). This picture of children from Horwich Parish Church on the hill in about 1945 has been lent to me by Mrs Dorothy Walkden, of Ardley Road, Horwich, whose late husband Neil is in the small group at the front in a balaclava.
