TELEVISION sleuth Caroline Quentin joined detectives working on the murder of a Bolton vice girl while researching her television role.

And on Friday she will make an appeal in an attempt to help them find the killer who murdered a pregnant prostitute.

The actress will make a fresh appeal to the public for information about the brutal killing of Danielle Moorcroft in the early hours of June 1 last year.

The 21-year-old heroin addict was five months' pregnant when she was found dead at the back of Bolton Community College off Lower Bridgeman Street at 5.40am.

She had been hit repeatedly over the head with an object.

Danielle was last seen by a friend getting into a dark coloured saloon car driven by a man in the early hours of Saturday June 1 last year, on the slip road leading to Trinity Way Retail Park, near to Burger King and Toys 'R' Us.

She was later seen on CCTV cameras walking across the forecourt of the Shell garage on Bridgeman Place seconds after a dark coloured car, possibly a Renault Laguna, was also seen driving across the forecourt.
