VOLUNTEER drivers are urgently needed by the Bolton branch of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
The drivers are wanted to help local fundraising groups across the North West, to set up equipment for events.
Rod Arthern, Fundraising Co-ordinator for Guide Dogs in the North West, said: "Many of our guide dog owners need someone to drive them to charity events and collections so they can generate awareness and raise money.
"This in turn enables the charity to provide freedom and independence to many blind and partially sighted people."
Anyone who would like to become a driver should call 01204 492534 or e-mail rod.arthern@gdba.org.uk
Guide Dogs has provided services since 1931. It costs £35,000, to breed, train and support each dog throughout its lifetime.
Volunteer drivers play a vital role in helping the Association.
