THE current warm weather is set to last until the weekend with temperatures expected to reach 25 degrees Celsius on Saturday.

High pressure and southerly winds will bring fine weather and warm air from central Europe to the North-west until Sunday.

Temperatures reached 23 degrees Celsius in parts of the region yesterday.

Clouds will clear by tomorrow to produce long spells of warm sunshine across the whole of the country on Saturday but there is a small chance of isolated showers on higher ground.

The warm spell is likely to end on Sunday when it will become wet and thundery after a bright but humid start to the day.

Next week will stay dry and bright with some showers but temperatures will return to the seasonal average of 18 degrees Celsius.
