THOUSANDS of gallons of water have been leaking down a village drain for over two months.
Despite calls to United Utilities' Leakline and letters to the company's managing director seeking urgent action, residents say nothing has been done to stem the flow in Mill Street, Golborne.
The burst in the road which runs between 23 and 25 High Street was first reported on March 14.
A Unitied Utilities spokesman said: "Engineers were sent out to repair the fault after it was reported in March. They were due to return to the site yesterday as a leak was reported again in that area. Service to customers has not been affected and we apologise for any inconvenience that these leaks may have caused."
