Who's playing where

Astley Bridge

Professional: Amal Dalugoda

Captain: Paul Tebay

Prospects: Bridge bring in a Sri Lankan pro and he together with experienced Tim Barry it is hoped they can bring out the talent that lies with several of the side's younger players.

BRADSHAW

Professional: Wade Wingfield

Captain: David Morris

Prospects:: The South African professional is the new face at the Rigbys and much will depend on him if club fortunes are to be revived.

EAGLEY

Professional: Mike O'Rourke

Captain: Phil McDermott

Prospects: The popular Australian pro has travelled 12,000 miles to make the short switch from Egerton. He will want to improve on last season's performance.

EGERTON

Professional: Abdur Rehman

Captain: Gary Garner

Prospects: Egerton turn to a Pakistani pro after last season's disappointing season and welcome Nigel Hallows and his son, also Nigel, from Tonge.

FARNWORTH

Professional: Abbas Ali

Captain: Stuart Walsh

Prospects: The only way is up as far as Farnworth is concerned and although they have lost Lee Sutton, Tim Barrow comes in from neighbouring Social Circle.

FARNWORTH SC

Professional: Khasif Siddique

Captain: Christian Walsh

Prospects: The Pakistan pro is a 22 years old opening left hand bat with some good first class innings to his credit.

GREENMOUNT

Professional: Robin Morris

Captain: Mark Stewart

Prospects: Last season's Bolton League Professional of the Year returns to try and help the side improve on their third spot of last year.

HEATON

Professional: Narendra Hirwani

Captain: Paul Rayment

Prospects: There is a certain amount of optimism at Lower Pools. Hirwani is tried and trusted and with Rayment joining from Little Lever, there are high hopes of a good showing.

HORWICH

Professional: David White

Captain: Grant Long

Prospects: Who would back against last year's surprise package? The side is pretty much the same and team spirit will again be a vital part of their make up.

KEARSLEY

Professional: Fazal Akber

Captain: Simon Thomson

Prospects: Same pro, same captain but there will be no Whittles this season. Mel and Tom have decided to return to Crompton in the CLL. Back again is David Morris after his stint as pro with Blackrod.

LITTLE LEVER

Professional: Sajeewa DeSilva

Captain: Anthony Hilton

Prospects: The side is strengthened by the return of Jon Kerrigan and Mick Martin from Tonge and Lee Baldwin from Golborne.

TONGE

Professional: Adil Nisar

Captain: Simon Anderton

Prospects: Five players will be missing from last season's title winning side, Dion Taljard. Jon Kerrigan, Mick Martin, Adam Rodzoch and Nigel Hallows but there is still a lot of pedigree in the side and coming in are Lee Daggart, a Lancs 2nd XI player, Andy Northrop from Astley Bridge with Saff Ismail promoted from the seconds.

Walkden

Professional: Michael Klinger

Captain: Mike Bennison

Prospects: Most people look no further than Walkden as this season's pacesetters. The new pro is a hard hitting Australian batsman.

WESTHOUGHTON

Professional: Dwayne Smith

Captain: Steve Parker

Prospects: An exciting West Indian pace bowler is how the new professional is described. If he lives up to that, then there may be better times at The Tyldesleys.
