Wanderers Reserves were outclassed at Aston Villa on Wednesday night in a 5-0 defeat.
It was the second time this week Villa reserves have beaten their Wanderers' counterparts, inflicting a 2-1 defeat on Wanderers' second team at Gigg Lane on Monday night.
Beanpole striker Peter Crouch hit a hat-trick within 51 minutes.
